Our activities in Senegal
The UN ratified the Millennium Development Goals in 2000. One goal is to reduce the amount of people living in poverty by 50% until 2015. We follow this goal, too.
Senegal has a population of 12 billion people. Almost 70% (7.2 billion) are considered to be poor.
We are going to give access to solar power - which is equivalent to light, drinking water, health and education - to 30% (2.16 billion) of the poor population by 2015.
We are certain this is the critical mass necessary for the country to develop on its own.
The Senegal has 14 regions.
To be able to assist our customers really close we will be present with a subsidiary of Bonergie in every region.
It's not only about having offices in every region, we are looking for partnerships with existing projects and organizations already in place who share our objectivity: develop the country. Together we deploy these projects as a model to scale and duplicate later on - also in other African countries.
There is a vast amount of NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) in the Senegal which will join these projects and we will connect all these forces. That's how we can make it, with a community united to the goal.
Since February 2011 we are a Senegalese Ltd with our head office in Dakar.
